Use the guidelines below to assist you through the quoting process. By providing detailed, accurate and sufficient information, you can ensure timely responses, precise quotations and high quality products.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Customer’s part number
  • Manufacturer’s part number
  • Component value
  • Reference designators
  • Description of the part (SMT or THT)
  • Package type with pin count
  • Quantity per board
  • Identify any component that will not be placed
  • Identify any components that are not included in the kit
  • Tolerance
  • Voltage

Panelized Gerber Files

Gerber files provide a visual picture of the PCB and allow us to determine component layout and pin count accuracy. When Gerber files are not available, a photograph or “sample” board should be provided.

  • Board layout (top and bottom)
  • Number of PCBs per panel
  • Quantity of production run
  • Sample of bare board
  • Sample of populated board (if available)
  • Will you be supplying the stencil?
  • Consigned kit or turnkey project?
  • When you are supplying components, have you confirmed material compatibility with process alloy?
  • Conformal coat?
  • Any special instructions required for your product including but not limited to RTV, glyptal, and torque specifications on fasteners, etc.
  • Test?
  • Shipping requirements

Preferred Requirements for Turnkey Quotes (SMT & THT) 

  • Assembly drawing
  • Bill of materials (BOM preferred in Excel format)
  • Customer AML (Approved Manufacturer List)
  • Sample assembly (if available)
  • Leaded or Pb-free
  • Customer MUST include quantities and lead time
  • RFQ response time is typically five working days

Preferred Requirements for Consignment Quotes (SMT & THT) 

  • Assembly drawing
  • Bill of materials (BOM preferred in Excel format)
  • Sample assembly (if available)
  • Leaded or Pb (lead) free
  • Customer MUST include quantities and lead time
  • RFQ response time is typically two working days
